My confession to womanhood
In my walk through LIFE,
I've seen things I could not comprehend
Far beyond my understanding
Let your course of study be a black woman
Surely ,you can never graduate
Get ready for utter fraustration
I've seen strength beyond imagination
I've seen tenacity and resilience to life beyond my thoughts
I've seen her survive the darkest moment
When battered and bruised by vicious men
She stands to her feet and say no to defeat
If you haven't seen such woman
You no doubt have not been to Africa
Forever I'll appreciate womanhood
The pains of delivery
The struggles of leaving home to stick with a man
The cries on the wedding night
The tears of Joy
The tears of sorrow
The tears of shame
If you haven't been told, you're worth more than money
You're too expensive, you're valueless
You can't be quantified
You mustn't let go of this beauty
But only one deserves the beauty
The right man
And the two shall become one
I told and warned myself, ''never make a woman cry "
